A two part experience (with option to opt out of part two) that is designed to spark your creative connection to yourself and establish you with a base knowledge to continue your own pottery journey at home should you desire to!
These workshops are an opportunity for me to share the knowledge that I have developed through my practice over the last few years. This involves delving into my relationship with clay, including my recent explorations with collecting 'wild' clay, but it is also more broadly a space that encourages igniting your creative centre through a tactile experience facilitated with connection, presence, and playfulness.
Whats included?
- 1:2 ratio class – option to select a date with a friend (there are two spots available for each session date offered) or opportunity to make a friend through a mutual interest in learning a new artform.
- All materials will be supplied.
- Your very own ceramic artwork for you to display, use or gift!
Part one
Part one of the workshop entails a two-hour session, where Mads shares her knowledge on clay, connection and creativity. During your session, each individual will have the opportunity to make 2-4 hand-built pieces using coil and slab-building methods. Choose your clay type, learn about the basics while picking Mad’s brain about all things pottery.
Part Two
Your pieces will be bisque fired within 3 weeks and Mad will contact you via email to organise another one-hour session to come back and glaze your pieces with the plethora of colourful magic glazes Mads has to offer.
Should you wish to leave your pieces bare of glaze, or opt out of part two of the workshop and wish for a simple clear coat, this can be done for you and posted out to you within a month from your workshop date at an extra cost of $15.
